Abstract: Child Health
This resource has been developed as a learning tool to enable you to develop
the management skills for managing child health programs. Child health programs,
as used in this scenario, refers to the preventive public health aspects
of programs as opposed to curative care.
Learning
objectives
On completion of this learning resource, students should
be able to:
- Develop a model of the causes of poor child health
in urban Australia;
- Identify and analyze the interests of possible stakeholders
in child health programs;
- Develop a process to build a participative team approach
to management of health services;
- Analyze and compare alternative strategies to deliver
of child health services;
- Develop a plan to improve health staff morale, performance
and the quality of health service delivery;
- Develop a plan to improve community access to and utilization
of child health services.
